Driving
directions to the Old Robe Trail
From Everett
- Drive
U.S. 2 eastbound from Everett 2.2 miles.
- Exit
to State Route 204 towards Lake Stevens
(left-lane exit from U.S. 2).
Drive 2.6 miles on S.R. 204.
- Turn
left onto State Route 9.
Drive S.R. 9 north for 1.7 miles.
- Turn
right onto State Route 92 towards Granite
Falls.
Drive approx. 8.3 miles on S.R. 92.
- Drive
through Granite Falls to the last of three
traffic lights (one regular traffic light
and two 4-way flashing red lights).
At the 3rd light, turn
left onto the Mountain Loop Highway, and
note the mileage on your odometer.
- Drive
7 miles on the Mountain Loop Highway.
Parking for the trail is located on
the right-hand (south) side of the roadway
opposite the intersection with the Green
Mountain Road.
Additional parking is available on
the opposite side of the roadway.
A brick monument just off the
shoulder of the road marks the beginning
of the trail, although parked vehicles
often block the view of the brick
monument.
Driving directions to the Lime Kiln Trail
From Everett
- Drive
U.S. 2 eastbound from Everett 2.2 miles.
- Exit
to State Route 204 towards Lake Stevens
(left-lane exit from U.S. 2).
Drive 2.6 miles on S.R. 204.
- Turn
left onto State Route 9.
Drive S.R. 9 north for 1.7 miles.
- Turn
right onto State Route 92 towards Granite
Falls.
Drive 8.1 miles on S.R. 92.
- In
Granite Falls, turn right onto South
Granite Avenue.
Drive south on S. Granite for 3
blocks.
- Turn
left on Pioneer Street.
Follow Pioneer St. east to city
limits where the road name changes to
Menzel Lake Road. Follow this road 1.2 miles (0.9 miles from city limits).
- Turn
left on Waite Mill Road.
Follow Waite Mill Road 0.5 miles to
the school bus turn-around.
Continue on left branch of the road
where it splits just beyond the school bus
turnaround.
After branching, road becomes
gravel.
Follow the gravel section 0.2
miles.
Look for white metal gate marking
the trailhead on left side of road.
